Smart MSPs who recognize this new landscape quickly will be rewarded with new opportunities for growth. The sooner leaders understand this shift, the better positioned they will be to take advantage of it.
Local bases help global companies enter these emerging markets, and MSPs in APAC are beginning to catch up. Two major factors are fueling this change in APAC markets.
MSPs that view the APAC region as an emerging market are already out of date. APAC is not just growing, it’s accelerating. The region is thriving, setting new standards for innovation, digital infrastructure, and consumer demand. As one of the world’s fastest-growing tech markets, APAC is no longer a peripheral player; it’s a central force. Understanding this shift from a supporting region to a global tech hub is essential to positioning your company for success.
The New Global Nerve Centers
Companies headquartered in the APAC region are also seeing the benefits of using collaborative tools, and many are migrating to cloud platforms that take advantage of these tools. Smaller, disparate companies are merging into a single tenant. These kinds of consolidations and migrations are moving more APAC organizations into streamlined tenant environments and modernized infrastructure, and increasing the need for migration experts.
Talent isn’t the only factor driving this growth. There is also the factor of time. Given the time zone differences between the APAC region and other major tech hubs, APAC teams can provide around-the-clock operational support for global companies. This kind of support translates to major wins in productivity and customer support.
The combination of technical knowledge, skill set, and compliance savvy will be at a premium as M&A activity continues to rise in the region.
One reason MSPs are being drawn to the APAC region is its IT professionals. The APAC talent pool is a fertile ground for global growth. Global Tech Talent Guidebook 2025 found that some of the largest tech talent markets exist in the APAC region. It boasts a large bank of IT professionals with deep expertise in global projects.
The APAC Talent Advantage
Countries like India, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines are becoming critical hubs for IT services. Though many outside of the APAC region may still think about these countries as support centers rather than sites of innovation, this perception does not match the region’s new reality.
Along with the IT talent base, the APAC region has seen a significant increase in mergers and acquisitions. According to S&P, the APAC region saw 3.8 billion worth of M&As in the first quarter of 2025, a 44% increase in deal values from the first quarter of 2024. As M&A activity continues, MSPs are seeing the benefits of dedicated teams in the region.
This year, Amazon Web Services opened its inaugural Innovation Hub in Singapore. This 8,000-square-foot facility is just the first step for Amazon, which plans to invest billion in cloud infrastructure in Singapore. The hub will feature new technologies, such as generative AI, quantum computing, and virtual reality, three key factors that will help transform APAC businesses.

M&A Activity Fueling MSP Growth
Amazon is just one example of global systems integrators establishing strategic APAC bases. MSPs are already relocating teams to the APAC region, where they’re finding a wealth of project-ready IT professionals. The reasoning behind such moves is clear. Once local teams create a local presence and establish a track record of quality work, their larger companies can connect with and engage local markets.
MSPs with experience in cloud-to-cloud migrations in high-compliance environments will be at a premium. Solving for this kind of compliance often takes an extra layer of planning. This might mean a more thorough pre-migration discovery. It also may require the MSP to add extra levels of security when data is in transit. But most importantly, it requires a comprehensive understanding of the various security environments throughout the APAC region.
As M&A activity increases, so will the demand for MSPs with strong compliance experience and expertise. MSPs with an established track record in the APAC region will have a distinct advantage over less-experienced newcomers in the region.
Migration Complexities Need Expertise
“The talent pool in Asia Pacific is deep, with a lot of AI-related professionals concentrated in China and India,” Ada Choi, head of Research, Asia Pacific for CBRE, told FutureCIO. “Ongoing AI developments and innovation will drive economic growth, fuel tech talent employment growth and real estate demand in the region.”
The APAC region has been preparing for just such a moment. Thanks to educational systems with a strong STEM emphasis, finding capable talent in APAC countries is not a problem. APAC teams can also save on labor costs while maintaining top-of-the-line quality standards. This combination of education and labor costs can fuel global growth.
But a new frontier in IT services is quickly emerging in a region once known almost entirely for its supporting role. We are watching the Asia Pacific region transform into strategic command centers for MSP operations thanks to its deep talent pool, growth-friendly workforces, and robust M&A activity. These factors are all fueling the next wave of MSP growth.
For years, innovation in IT services has been confined to a few spots on the global stage. Legacy tech hubs like the United States, Canada, and Europe drove much of the industry’s change.
These forces are forging a new competitive battleground for MSPs. Companies are consolidating operations and streamlining tenants across national borders, creating questions and complexities around data compliance.
